Dear Joseph,
It is with great sadness that I let you know that Eric passed away this
morning. The funeral service will be at Louis Memorial and funeral at
Rose Hill cemetery (Troost & 69th in KCMO) at noon on Thursday, March 4.
I plan to request donations be made to ASKC. Is the PO Box on the
website the best way for that to happen? Could you also pass the
information along to anyone who would want to attend?
Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
from his wife, Sue-Ellen, with the details.
Sue-Ellen

Eric was always trying to help the ASKC, whether at
Powell or outings like Astronomy Day. I'm sure he had many friends from various
trips as expedition leader to solar eclipses. He started the Comet Award for
the Astronomical League a few years ago and was interested in meteorites. (from Tom Martinez)
Eric had an extensive collection of a wide variety of meteorites and shared
them with kids at school science nights and other ASKC outings on many occassions
over the past years. (from David Young)
